Moreau "Big Roe" Dibell, Sr., 78, Wausaukee, WI

Moreau "Big Roe" Dibell Sr., 78, of Wausaukee, died Wednesday, April 22, 2009, at Bellin Hospital in Green Bay.

He was born on March 26, 1931, in Montello, Wisconsin, the son of Adelbert and Clara (Salswedel) Dibell. Moreau was married to the former Shirley Kurzynske and she preceded him in death in 1961. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict. In 1963, he married the former Sharon Ann Smith, who preceded him in death on Feb. 12, 2000. Moreau retired after over 32 years as a supervisor for a stainless steel shop. He later owned and operated the Heritage Inn in McAllister for 12 years. Moreau was a member of the Wausaukee American Legion, Fond du Lac Deputy Sheriff Association, Van Dyne Lions Club and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and teaching his family these pastimes.

He is survived by his mother Clara of Montello; his son, Moreau (Deborah) of Abrams; his daughters, Cynthia Gilg of Milwaukee, Lorie (Charles) Vine of Wausaukee, Marlyne (Mark) Ramirez of Fond du Lac; 10 grandchildren; and his sisters, Clarice (Don) Morical of Montello and Judy (Mike) Beckwith of Packwaukee. In addition to his father and wives, he is further preceded in death by his brother, John; his sister, Darlene Davis; and his niece, Wendy.

Visitation will be held at Messar Funeral Home, on Saturday, April 25, 2009, from 5:30-7:30 p.m., with funeral services to follow. The American Legion will conduct military rites. Deacon Walter Vine will be officiating.

The family would like to express a special thanks to Grandpa's helpers for their love and care. Messar Funeral Home in Wausaukee is in charge of arrangements.
