JOHN H. SIEBERS May 17, 1919 - May 5, 2010
John H. Siebers, 90, of Overland Park, Kan., passed away May 5, 2010. Visitation is 9:30-10:30 a.m. Monday, May 10, 2010, at Cure of Ars Church, 9401 Mission Road, Leawood, Kan., followed by Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will be at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure , 5005 LBJ Freeway, Dallas, TX 75244. John was born on May 17, 1919, in Kansas City, Kan., to John and Elizabeth (Galvin) Siebers.
He served in the Marines as a technical sergeant on Midway during WW II and was the owner and operator of Siebers Meat Company. John was an avid golfer at the Leawood South Country Club and was a member of Cure of Ars Church. He also loved to watch the Chiefs, Royals and KU games and to sit on his patio and read or listen to big band music. John was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Mary Siebers; his siblings George, Loretta, Gertrude, Rose and Sr. Rose Celine, and one granddaughter, Cathy Zuba. He is survived by his children, daughter Loretta McKinstry, son John Siebers, daughter Nancy Henry, daughter Mary Rasdall; eight grandchildren and numerous great and great great grandchildren.
