Katherine G. Gober Katherine Geraldine "Gerry" Gober, 93, of St. Albans, passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2015

[/B], passed away Monday, Nov. 2, 2015 at the VA Medical Center, Clarksburg.She was born May 17, 1922 in Charleston to the late Howard H. and Carrie G. Meadows Hicks. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Edward "Stubby" Gober, and brother, Emerson Hicks.Gerry was retired from Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, as an LPN with 25 years of service. She was a lifelong member of Boyd Memorial Church, Charleston. She was a U.S. Marines veteran, serving during World War II.She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.Surviving are her loving daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and Jim Farley of St. Albans and Debbie and Gary Adkins of Simpsonville, S.C. Also surviving are her loving grandchildren, Brian Adkins (Melissa), Tara Farley, Heather Bolt (Bryan) and Jamie Haught (Scott), and great-grandchildren, Rebecca, Aaron, Connor, Hayden, Charlie, Sam, Caroline, Elise and Jillian.Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 5, at Bartlett-Chapman Funeral Home, St. Albans, with the Rev. Chris Kilbert officiating. Burial will be in Mountain View Cemetery, Charleston, with military honors.Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral service.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Alzheimer's Association, 1601 2nd Ave., Charleston, WV 25387.You may share memories or condolences with the family at Funeral Home, family-owned and located at 409 Sixth Ave., St. Albans, is honored to serve the Gober family. -
