Hello, I just learned about this site from Sgt. Grit's newsletter. I am a Marine Mom. My son has been in the Corps for 5 years and is a French Horn player in the MC band. His wife is also a Marine and plays the Euphonium. They are currently stationed at Parris Island, SC. Their main mission is playing for recruit graduations on Fridays. However October and November are very busy months for them as the band plays for many of the Birthday Balls that are in the area. They have a Devil Pup son who is 3 and, of course, adorable. Thanks for letting me tell you all a little bit about my Marines.

Laura

Welcome aboard Laura

So the question is, do you have your son's boot camp graduation book? If yes, we'd love to get him in our boot camp database.

Hello, I found a picture of my son's platoon. How do you want me to send it?

The best way to get his picture into our boot camp database is for you to scan the picture and email it to me at;
gmiller@yellowfootprints.com.

If you can't scan it you could snail mail it to me at;
Yellow Foot Prints
PO Box 341
Orangevale, Ca 95662

Once I receive it I'll scan it and send it back to you.

Permission to come aboard?

Hello, and God bless you all, Marines. I am just a nasty civilian, but am PROUD to be a USAF SAC Brat, daughter of a B52 tailgunner who flew support over Khe Sahn, and especially PROUD to be Mom to Two of The Few.

My middle Marine is being reactivated from IRR and will deploy again.

If it's all right, I'd like to share recruit grad photos if you can use them. I also have several older Recruit Graduation books. I pick 'em up every time I come across them.

We Americans owe The Marine Corps more than we can ever repay - and we're dang blessed to have you. If I may, Semper Fidelis and thank you...

YOU young lady....

are welcome in our cyber barracks. Let me be the first to thank you, and your son's for their committement to our Corps.

AS a mom of Marines you know you now have responsibilty to make sure us Marines make it back to the barracks after a night of partying. ha

As to your question about books and pictures from your son's graduation. Email your son's graduation information i.e. Location of graduation as in PI, or SD. Year, month, and platoon number to me for addition to the boot camp database.

We also offer (free of charge) the creation of a personal section that is listed under their respective platoon numbers. This is the location where we enter email addressed for ease of contact, and any boot camp pictures you choose to send in. There is NO limit on graduation pictures mom.

Send all this information to;
gmiller@yellowfootprints.com

Again, from all of us Marines, WELCOME ABOARD!!

Just joined the group. My son left for Parris island last Monday (1-5-09). Couldn't be more proud of him for his decision.

DCSmothers

Once your son passes the ultimate challange make sure to report back that he graduated so we can welcome him into this great brotherhood.

If you get his graduation book and picture you can submit them here and we'll get them into our boot camp database. Submit his information to; gmiller@yellowfootprints.com
