Good morning all. Had a somber day yesterday , went and laid flowers at my late wifes grave and reflected on the past when she was alive and kept me in check. I still miss her and I also attended our service for our fallen hero's at our cemetery here,it was very nice. I met a Marine who served in WWII and Chit he still look like he could walk up front and take charge.
61 outside and cloudy and we got 1/2 inch of rain over night and we can expect more today , I hope . I hope everyones day went well for you yesterday ,and may the Lord watch over the men and women in harms way today and everyday.

Smile Looking for lost records.

I wasn't sure what to post this under or how to start a new thread for that matter. Anyway, my dad's name was Charlie Max Gore. He served in the Marines signed up in 1951 in Houston,TX. I have been doing our family genealogy and wanted the records to go with his info. Problem I'm having is, no one can find his records. I have contacted the military records they researched for me and couldn't find anything. My Mom tried to find something years ago and they found records putting him in the Navy. We know that is incorrect we have photos showing him in the Marines. I have a photo of him with numbers in front of him wondering if that would help at all in the search. How is it that they can't find his records? He served in the Korean War seems like that would be recorded. Any help you or anyone else can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Over the last few days,

we've had weather here in Sacramento that hasn't been seen in years. Lightning and thunder that made the hair stand up on your arms. What a light show UNTIL it got overhead and I figured standing in the open in the back yard probibly wasn't a good idea. ha
Today we have overcast and expect rain, hope I can get the lawns mowed before the rains hit.
