It will never make it, to many High Mountains in the way. However, if the wind is out of the north and you live close to one of the Great Lakes(HOMES) you could be buried in lake effect snow. Me, I'll only get buried if the storm front pumps megagallons up from the Gulf...... rflmao.....

Here I am, on the balmy coast of Connecticut, still waiting for the first snow storm of winter. I thought we would wake up to some snow on the ground the other day. In the evening, there was a little mixed snow and rain for about a half hour. But, nothing stayed on the ground. Thankfully, all that snow seems to be shifting West. I may even send Gary my snow shovel seeing I may not need it this winter.

Gary,

thanks for sending the snow our way. Our first real snow fall has just started here. We should be rockin' and rollin' really good by this afternoon.... the stuff's gonna come in off of the lake... then the winds will pick up and begin their howlin'.... hope to be home by then....

OK it didn't snow today BUT,

It's so damn cold outside it makes me want to stay by the fireplace all day. It's 31 degree's outside as I ponder heading back to Hawaii for the next three months. ha

We're starting to get some of that nasty weather you wished on us. It started to snow last night but turned to rain. We're presently getting a windy, winter thunderstorm. Hopefully, it will stay warm enough for it not to turn back into snow.

had thunder snow (pretty colored lights), wind, rain, snow, now more wind and cold! currently 6 degrees with minus wind chills... glad to get the car cleaned off and all the slush shovelled before everything froze... missed the really heavy snow -- up to 19" west of here...

have a safe day, all!!

Luckily, we live on the Connecticut coast. Since the dividing line between snow and rain seems to be the Merrit Parkway (RT 15), we get rain often when the rest of Connecticut gets snow. I know we will get our share of snow later on in the winter but I'm happy when people north of us have to shovel when we are sporting umbrellas. Back in my younger days, I did a lot of winter activities and enjoyed them. But, I don't ice fish, skate or ski any more. Also, years of having to drive as a NCR service tech spoiled my like of snow and ice. I'm still waiting for that "Global Warming" that Al Gore keeps talking about. I want to plant a few palm trees on my property.
