Anthony Michael Garcia, 18, Kansas City, MO

Anthony Michael Garcia, 18, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2009, in San Antonio, Texas. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10th, from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m., with a Memorial Service following at 11:00 a.m., at McGilley State Line Chapel, 12301 State Line Road, Kansas City, MO. Cremation. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Catholic Charities, 301 East Armour Blvd., Suite 620, Kansas City, MO, 64111. Tony was born in Kansas City, MO, on April 9, 1990. He attended Reagan High School, graduating from the ACE program, then joined the Marines in 2008. Tony always said "Once a Marine, always a Marine." A friend to all, he never met a stranger. Tony will be forever with his beloved dog, Max. Tony was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, John and Josephine Garcia. He is survived by his mother, Yvonne Garcia; his father, Joseph Garcia; two brothers, Danny and John; his maternal grandparents, Joseph and Yvonne Plewa; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins mostly based in the Kansas City area. Arrangements: McGilley State Line Chapel, 816-942-6180.
