Edward R. Shults, of Gloversville, NY, passed away on December 23, 2018 in Tucson, AZ.
Edward R. Shults was born in Gloversville, NY, to Ratmond and Martha Shults on March 29, 1934. He attended school in Gloversville, NY. He married Patrica A. Warner on January 28, 1954. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War and served in the United States Marine Corps for 25 years. Among his awards and decorations, Sgt Major Shults holds a Presidential Unit Citation, Combat Action Ribbon, Meritorious Unit Citation, Good Conduct Medal, National Defence Service Ribbons, Vietnam Service Medal, Vietnam Campaign Medal and the Cross of Gallantry-Unit Award.
He is preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Martha Shults.
Edward R. Shults is survived by Patricia A. Shults (spouse), Children; Denise Alvarado, Raymond Shults, Michael Shults, Cheryl Shults, Donna Shults and Edward Shults, 21 grandchildren and 42 great-grandchildren.
Memorial service will be held on Friday, April 26, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Boulder City, Nevada, where he will be interred.
The Shults family would like to express their sincere gratitude to the members of the VA Veterans Hospital and VA Veterans State Home in Tucson, AZ. Their dedication and effort to provide quality care over the last 12 months was a heart warming blessing to the entire family. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.
