In fact, Devil Dogs, I urge every single one of you to join local Detachments of the Marine Corps League. There are many great programs that we give our time to, but more importantly, as Marine Corps Veterans - it is time to stand up and be counted.
We will soon have many young wounded veterans returning home to a lifetime of mediocre care by the VA. As veterans, we need to stand strong and support our younger brethren, so that they receive the necessary funding for the best care possible.
These young Marines have paid the price, we too, need to stand up and be recognized by the politicians, so that veterans everywhere are never forgotten, nor allowed to fall through the cracks of government spending.
We who have earned the title of United States Marines remain Marines for life. Stand and be recognized - join the ranks of the Marine Corps League.
