I'm doing an inventory of the archived books we (YFP) have in it's library and low and behold I found a platoon book that wasn't listed under one of the Series Officers platoon section. Platoon 2060 that trained in 1980.

Stuff like this makes all this work soooo worth while. ha

Congrats on any book you've been able to collect. But, what makes that book special?

One it's a book that a series officer didn't now about, and two the fact it's the same platoon number Lee Harvey Aswald trained under. Not really special, just unque.

is to enter the boot camp database from the front page of the site. Go to the top right of the database page and in the search feature type 2060.
Once the listing comes up you'll see on selection under the heading UNKNOWN month. Select that one.

There is some debate as to the actual month of graduation and thats why his (Oswald) platoon section is in the UNKNOWN month of 1956.

Until I hear back from the Historical Society as to a possible graduation platoon picture showing he graduated in Jan of 1957 we're going to leave his platoon in the unknown section.
