This thing with Jim Sumpter is driving me crazy. I need to find out which Marine units were guarding the Monkey Mountain radar site during 1967.
I found pictures of the site during his time in country and forwarded them on and he did remember being in one of the bunkers. He also remembers going out into the bush as a listening post.
What I am thinking is, if we can find out which units (Marine) were there during his time, they may have a web site we can post on to see if anyone remembers him. The long shot would be to find someone that might have even did boot camp with him.
I only have so much time on my plate as you can imagine so thought I'd reach out for help.
If any of you other members have some time on your hands I'd like to make this a site mission. NO you won't need your weapons with ammo. ha ha
