A number of additions to our boot camp database have been taking place over the last couple of months you should be aware of.

We are now adding (where information is availible) individual Marines Killed In Action, Wounded in action, or Missing in action to each platoon section.

When information is provided about a Marine, we cut and paste that Marines picture from their graduation book into his/her personal section.
In the case of KIA/WIA/MIA we add information to that Marines personal section that lists under their platoon section.

We provide this information as a resource to those in search of their brother Marines.

How is KIA/MIA/WIA information sent...and posted to...the Boot Camp Database? Can bios, photos, unit of assignment, and other information be posted?

the ONLY database that needs an admin to enter information is the boot camp database.

The forums for WIA, MIA are such that a member can enter information without the help of an admin. Simply open a nre thread with the MIA/WIA with the Marines name in the subjec t line. All other information can be listed in the body of the thread.

Our forums can be searched for names using the search feature at the top left of the page.

To take care of non-boot camp pictures and information we have a new photo/daatbase album coming on-line soon.

I hope that answers your questions.

It's understandable that many do not remember those they served with. During the war I remember not wanting to get to close to another Marine with so many getting KIA and having to deal with the pain of the loss of a brother Marine.

What we do offer here at YFP is a place you can post pictures of your time in the Corps even though you may not remember names. If you go to the boot camp database selection under the main menu you will find a members photo gallery. This gallery is open to all members of the site. You can create your own photo album and upload your pictures from your local computer.
