I collected many MCRD yearbooks looking for a copy of my fathers book, I never found it. After they sat around for a year or so I started Googling the names of the recruits. The last book and the last name(figures!) came up a couple miles from my home. I called the guy,(his name was in the phonebook), and brought him his book. It felt great to hand that book to that Marine.. I have 6 other books from the mid to late 50's, and would like them to get back to people who care for them.. All the books are froom San Diego. 1st Battalion, Platoon 173 and also 195. 2nd Battalion, Platoons 281 and 2008. 3rd Battalion, Platoons 349 and 357. let me enlighten you. Kerry is the son of the Marine that went through boot camp with Lee Harvey Oswald in 1956. Kerry is also the one who gave me a copy of his dad's graduation book.

Kerry, if you can see anyway of sending me those books, I will scan them and enter their information in our boot camp database and send them back to you.
