El Toro.... MWSG 37 and MAG 15 - 1965
Chu Lai... MAG 12 1966-67

Thanks for the ASAP reply. At least I know this works and how it works now. We are all getting old now but alive. The MIA POW issue is heating up again. Why don't we get someone like Bill Gates who is giving away his billions to simply pay the 3 billion to buy our POWs back and be done with it VS waiting for our government to do anything... ????????

Did you hear about the new book out that was given to Pres Bush to read???????

Chu Lai 69-70 Group Guard Grunt/ The bunker line I was with the 1st group to pull out in 70 went to Iwakuni Japan.

My brother, Cpl John F Mixon, was at Chu Lai and Da Nang during that time period.

I go back a little further than that, pre-vietnam.

Hi,Just saw the location and dates and had to add my two cents.My 1st duty station was El Toro approx June 1964 to Aug 65,then somebody pissed off LBJ and off to Viet nam,(and I was just getting use to the soft duty life.)Landed at Chu Lia Sept of 65 left
Sept 66 while in Danang at Marble Mtn.EOE 1-13-67.Semper Fi, Brother.Remember two in the body one in the head stops all arguments.Thanks Dick Shewmake,Sun City West Az..4-14-12
