Graduated Parris Island, 3rd Bn, Platoon 341 on July 31, 1964 (Sgt. Palmer our Senior D.I.)
I have our Platoon photograph but lost our year book; sure would like a copy if you know where one is to give.
Thanks, and Semper Fidelis

Chopz,
I have a copy of the individual DI and recruit photos for Platoon 341. The grad book photos shows that the platoon graduated 7 Aug 1964. The photos include the training and grad photos of the platoon. They are in a 3-ring binder, tho, so there are holes punched down the left side.
What I could do is take the rest of the recruit platoon grad pictures out of the 3-ring binder and send the binder with your platoon photos to you. The front of the binder has all the "stock photos" that are normally in the front of a graduation book.
Let me know if this would be okay.

Pat for years, and although it's such a great feeling returning these books. Returning one to someone you kown is just extra special.
Thanks cmyr for finding his book.

As this site grows, we've seen more and more success stories!
Well, the thing with this "book" is that it's part of a drill instructor's 3-ring binder of the 7 platoons the drill instructor graduated. The ring binder cover looks like the Parris Island book cover but all the pages in the binder have the 3-ring punch holes in them. Otherwise, the individual sections for each platoon are complete and all the training/graduation pictures for each platoon are included.
So technically it's not a graduation "book." There is only one copy of the standard pictures that would normally appear in the front of a regular graduation book. Some of these pictures are annotated with the drill instructor's names.
If someone is looking for an individual graduation book, they may not like the idea of all the pages being in a ring binder with the holes punched in them. It's their call, though.

that no matter what the condition of these books those that have lost their books would be more than happy to have a copy. There are so many memories in these historical books that just having a copy would make ANY Marines day.

Nancy,
As the FNG, how do we go about exchanging gifts?
I'd love whatever you have regarding my boot camp graduation book.
Thank you!
