Station Headquarters Squadron is the administrative unit for the Commanding General and his staff.
The volume of administrative details calls for a close positive control of all departments, which job falls..... upon the Squadron Sergeant Major. Master Sergeant John A. Holley has carried this responsibility since September, 1949.
The Squadron has had three commanding officers during the last six months period. LtCol Finley T. Clarke was relieved in December, 1950 by Major Floyd C. Kirkpatrick, who held the job until he was ordered to Korea in June, 1951. Major "Hap" Simpson, a Korean veteran, assumed command on 5 June 1951.
The first WMs aboard joined the organization in September, 1950, and were part of the squadron until they formed their own detachment in March, 1951.
