NOW HERE'S A REAL MODEL AIRPLANE !!!



Actually has 8 "real turbines" at about $1500 each! Took over 2 years to build. It has a wing span of about 22 feet. Takes multiple pilots, as there are so many things to control. Think they were nervous during the maiden flight? I think I would have tried a couple of touch and gos before final landing.

Unbelievable that someone would make this - all real turbines! $12,000 just for the engines ! And $2.00 for the furniture casters for wheels.

I live in Midland all of the 60's and we would go thru Austin on the way or way back from Houston. their was Dad's fav drive in with the best burger and etc w/ a beer. Across from the drive in was Bergstrom AFB and it was a B52 and 58 bomber base. Those sucker shook the ground as they took off. I LOVE IT.
